Christian the Lion
If you haven't heard the story or watched the video about Christian the Lion, get ready to be totally blown away. Especially if you're an animal lover.
Briefly, these two hippies men bought a baby cub from Harrods Department Store in London in 1969 and brought it home to live with them.
Well, just like that waterbed your parents bought in 1969, this too turned out to be not such a great idea. Within a year their cute little cub, Christian, weighed 189 lbs, probably wasn't housebroken, and couldn't live in the city any longer.
They release Christian the Lion in Africa and then returned to see him a year later. This is their story, told by those wise old sages YouTube and Aerosmith.
Isn't that remarkable? I think so, too. What they didn't show in the video is all of them sitting down for afternoon tea and biscuits later that day. Just kidding.

When i saw this for the first time I cried my eyes out.

I am crying.
Man I love the cats. All of them. Big. Little. All of them.
Even the fact that these guys loved this cat so much they HAD to go back to see it.
This is amazing. I am sending this link to everyone. If they don't cry-then i will know they are dead inside.

This is incredible!! Although I have to admit, when the lion jumped up on them and was nuzzling their faces, I had two primary thoughts:
1- Wow. It would be so easy for him to kill them. Just one turn of the head and BAM!
2- I wonder what lion smells like?

It made me cry too. I'm a big time cat lover and miss my old kitty that I had for 20 years. My new dog kind of looks like a lion.

I know, how much do you love this? It makes even the most reluctant animal lover melt just a little bit. OK, a lot.
